The Bihar government will commence the appointment of 1800 assistant professors in medical colleges in the coming months. Health Minister Mangal Pandey stated that the recruitment drive aims to address the shortage of medical professionals in the state. In addition to this, the government is also focused on allocating postings for doctors based on their preferences. The minister made these remarks during an event where 694 new medical officers received their appointment letters. The state has recently appointed a significant number of doctors and is also in the process of appointing Ayush doctors and CHOs. The minister expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for their support in strengthening the healthcare system.
