Authorities in Bihar are investigating how two Pakistani women were included in the state’s voter list. The women, residents of Bhagalpur, were discovered during a Ministry of Home Affairs verification process. According to the investigation, Imrana Khanam and Firdousia Khanam possess voter ID cards. The women’s names appeared on the voter list and were also verified during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process ahead of the 2025 assembly elections. The Booth Level Officer (BLO) stated the election department notified them of the issue based on a Home Ministry communication on August 11.
