Controversy surrounds Bihar’s upcoming assembly elections with the emergence of voter ID irregularities. The latest involves Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha, who is alleged to possess two EPIC (Voter ID) cards. The RJD party has highlighted that Sinha has two voter cards, one from Lakhisarai and another from Bankipur, Patna, and has released the EPIC numbers associated with each card. Tejashwi Yadav has accused Sinha of age fraud due to differing ages listed on the two cards. He questioned if the election commission or the district administration would send a notice to Vijay Sinha. The RJD leader also accused the BJP of undermining the constitution and democracy. The Congress party has also brought up this issue on social media. Congress has said that the Deputy Chief Minister, Vijay Sinha is the biggest fraud. The Congress has questioned whether Vijay Sinha has voted in both places in the past elections, and whether the Election Commission has given him two voting rights. The party also asked when an FIR would be filed and when an resignation would be issued, asking whether the rules of the Election Commission are only for Dalits, the backward classes, the poor, and the workers, and not for the BJP members.
