The RJD’s state council meeting, held to celebrate its silver jubilee, saw the unveiling of a new slogan directly aimed at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The event was focused on strengthening the Grand Alliance for the upcoming elections, with the aim of making Tejashwi Yadav the Chief Minister. Lalu Prasad Yadav addressed the meeting, urging party members to work for the poor and assuring party tickets to those who perform well. He underscored the need for unity and the removal of the RSS and Nitish Kumar to form their own government. Rabri Devi, the former Chief Minister, criticized the state government and PM Narendra Modi, highlighting the need to unify the party across all sections of society. Tejashwi Yadav stated that the public wants change after 20 years of Nitish Kumar’s leadership. He criticized Kumar’s priorities, including his absence from NITI Aayog meetings, and attacked the two Deputy Chief Ministers, challenging them to show their achievements and accusing them of personal attacks on party leaders. Newly appointed State President Mangali Lal Mandal emphasized the challenges ahead, calling for collective action to address them.
