
In the run-up to the Bihar Assembly elections, Tejashwi Yadav has unveiled a comprehensive set of promises for the women of Bihar, coinciding with Raksha Bandhan. He took to social media platform X to convey his Raksha Bandhan greetings and to announce a ‘return gift’ for women. Yadav outlined a series of electoral pledges, including financial assistance, subsidized essential services, and improved educational prospects for girls. Among the key promises are the ‘BETI’ program, a monthly financial aid scheme, enhanced pensions, subsidized gas cylinders, free electricity, and advanced residential coaching for girls. He has also vowed to provide training in sports and ensure job opportunities for every deserving girl. Furthermore, Yadav pledged to tackle unemployment, exam-related issues, and prevent paper leaks. He criticized past administrations for a perceived lack of progress and pledged to recover misappropriated funds to distribute to women as a gesture of goodwill. These initiatives are aimed at gaining support from the women electorate in the forthcoming elections.
