The Election Commission of India (ECI) is on track to meet the July 25 deadline for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Bihar. The ECI reported significant progress, with nearly 47% of Enumeration Forms collected within the first two weeks, as of July 8. Data shows 3.70 crore forms collected out of a 7.90 crore target. The ECI has distributed over 97% of the printed forms and has seen a good upload rate to ECINET. To boost the process, the ECI has increased the number of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) by adding 20,603 more, bringing the total to 77,895. Furthermore, the ECI has mobilized nearly 4 lakh volunteers, including government employees, NCC cadets, and NSS members, to assist elderly, disabled, and other vulnerable people. District Presidents of all recognized political parties are also contributing by actively appointing Booth Level Agents (BLAs).
