Bihar is set to benefit from enhanced rail connectivity with the introduction of new train services and railway lines. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, participating remotely from Purnia district, inaugurated the new developments. This included the laying of the foundation stone for a 26-kilometer rail line between Vikramshila and Kataria, and the inauguration of a new 111-kilometer line connecting Araria and Galgaliya (Thakurganj). Among the new train services launched were the Katihar-Siliguri Express, Jogbani-Danapur Vande Bharat Express, Saharsa-Chheharta (Amritsar) Amrit Bharat Express, and Jogbani-Erode Amrit Bharat Express. The timings and routes for these trains have been officially announced.
