
The Bihar government has recently announced a series of transfers impacting several senior IAS officers. This administrative reshuffle, communicated through a notification by the General Administration Department, details new postings and additional responsibilities for 7 officers. The changes involve key positions such as the Patna Commissioner and other significant administrative roles.
This series of transfers reflects the state government’s ongoing efforts to optimize its administrative structure. Various IAS officers have been assigned to new roles, and some have been entrusted with additional responsibilities. The General Administration Department has issued the official notification regarding these changes.
Specifics of the Transfers
Chandrashekhar Singh, previously serving as the Patna Division Commissioner, is now appointed as the Secretary in the CM Secretariat. He will also manage the Disaster Management Department and serve as the Chairman of the Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation Limited.
Animesh Kumar Parashar, the former Chief Executive Officer and Municipal Commissioner of Patna Municipal Corporation, is now the Patna Division Commissioner, with additional responsibility as the Managing Director of BUDCO.
Himanshu Sharma, the Chief Executive Officer of Jeevika, will also serve as Special Secretary in the Health Department, and Shirshat Kapil Ashok, Managing Director of Bihar State Road Development Corporation, will also take on the role of Managing Director of CONFED, Patna.
Other Assignments
Yashpal Meena, formerly the Additional Secretary of the Health Department, is now appointed as the Chief Executive Officer and Municipal Commissioner of Patna Municipal Corporation. Kritika Mishra, an IAS officer from the 2023 batch, previously the Sub-Divisional Officer of Pakri Dayal, East Champaran, will now be the Sub-Divisional Officer of Gogri. Pradyuman Singh Yadav, the Sub-Divisional Officer of Gogri, will now serve as the Additional Municipal Commissioner of Patna Municipal Corporation.
