
In a shocking incident in Buxar, Bihar, a tantrik is accused of a heinous assault on a newlywed woman, leading to swift retribution. After the assault, the tantrik fled but was later apprehended by angry villagers who administered a severe beating before handing him over to the authorities.
The incident took place in Tiyara village, under the jurisdiction of Rajpur police station. The accused, Gopal Singh, falsely claimed to be a tantrik priest and performed rituals. He had been invited to Revatipur village in Ghazipur by Havildar Ram’s family for a ritual. On the night of June 19th, after staying the night, he allegedly entered the newlywed woman’s room. There, he forced medicine into her eyes and sexually assaulted her. When she resisted, he also stole her mangalsutra.
The commotion woke the family, but the accused had already fled. The medicine caused the woman to suffer vision impairment and she was rushed to the hospital. On Thursday, her family found the accused in Tiyara village. He attempted to hide, but the villagers surrounded him, caught him, and called Dial 112, who brought him to the Rajpur police station.
Police Officer Gyan Prakash Singh stated that Gopal Singh confessed to the crime. He will be transferred to Revatipur police station in Ghazipur for further legal proceedings.
