A 24-year-old woman in Purnia, Bihar, welcomed quadruplet daughters via a normal delivery at the Baisi Primary Health Center. This extraordinary event was managed by a team of doctors. The mother, BB Haseerun, already had four children before this birth. She now has a total of eight children.
When Haseerun went into premature labor, she was taken to the Baisi Primary Health Center with the assistance of an ASHA worker. Doctors reviewed an ultrasound report indicating three babies, surprising the medical staff, as even triplets are uncommon. The nursing staff provided emotional support, preparing Haseerun for a natural delivery. The counseling lessened her anxiety.
During delivery, the first three daughters were born. Soon after, a fourth baby was detected. The team delivered the fourth daughter safely, even though the ultrasound did not show her.
Post-delivery, the mother and all four daughters were examined and found to be healthy. Local residents gathered at the hospital to see the newborns. The father, Kaiser Alam, mentioned his wife’s young age and expressed gratitude to the medical team.
For further care, the mother and daughters were sent to Purnia Medical College. Experts note that while such cases are observed, normal deliveries resulting in four healthy babies are extremely rare. This case exemplifies hope and resilience.
