In an effort to strengthen rural infrastructure, the Bihar government has initiated the Mukhyamantri Gramin Setu Yojana. This project, spearheaded by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, encompasses the construction of 703 new bridges across the state during the current financial year, 2025-26. Construction activities were initiated on September 15th. With an estimated budget of 3,688 crore rupees, the plan aims to provide secure and permanent road connections to numerous villages, facilitating smoother transportation and accessibility.
