The BPSC has strongly criticized the actions of certain coaching institutions and social media channels for spreading rumors regarding the postponement of the exam, and it has advised candidates to remain cautious and informed about such misleading claims.
The commission has officially declared the widespread information about the exam’s postponement to be false. The commission reiterated that all official announcements regarding any potential exam postponements will only be communicated through its official website, its verified social media accounts, or through formal press releases. According to the notice, candidates will be given adequate time to download their BPSC preliminary exam admit cards and to access details about their examination centers and districts, following the usual procedures.
The commission has also cautioned candidates participating in the exam to be vigilant against false information and to avoid relying on unofficial sources for updates. Prior to this, the commission received complaints from some coaching institutions raising concerns about similarities between exam questions and model papers. In response, the commission has categorically dismissed these allegations, labeling them as entirely untrue and deceptive.
The BPSC 71st Combined Civil Services Examination aims to fill a total of 1,264 vacancies. Initially, the notification announced 1,250 posts. The total number of positions was later increased to 1,264 with the addition of 14 DSP posts.
