Chirag Paswan, the Union Minister, has stated that he is considering contesting the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections primarily to enhance the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas)’s strike rate, rather than with any ambition for the Chief Minister’s office. He made it clear that improving the party’s performance would contribute to the success of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Speaking to reporters, the MP from Hajipur dismissed any suggestions of seeking the Chief Minister’s position and expressed disappointment over attempts to cause misunderstandings within the alliance. Paswan clarified that his party’s parliamentary board would decide whether he contests the elections. He also noted that the BJP frequently involves its national leaders in state elections. Paswan anticipates that the NDA, led by Nitish Kumar, will form a strong government after the election. His party will begin its campaign with a rally in Arrah, in the Bhojpur district. The party may choose a constituency in the Shahabad region. Before the election, the party has planned more rallies, each covering several districts.
