Bhagalpur police in Bihar have initiated legal proceedings following the raising of provocative slogans, which were captured in a viral social media video. The footage shows an individual at Bhagalpur railway station’s platform number 01, along with several children, displaying a flag and shouting inflammatory slogans. After receiving the information, various law enforcement agencies were contacted, but initial attempts to gather information were unsuccessful. Despite conducting searches in surrounding areas, the individuals remained at large.
Investigations are ongoing to identify those involved. A youth named Arman Hussain is alleged to have been involved in raising slogans while carrying a Palestinian flag at Bhagalpur Railway Station. Information indicates that a gathering of around 4,000-5,000 people took place on Friday near a local mosque, commemorating the birthday of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad.
During the event, one individual and a child were observed on platform number 01, waving a flag and chanting slogans, despite a warning from RPF officer Manish Kumar Yadav. Consequently, SS Bhagalpur lodged a written complaint with GRP Bhagalpur. Based on this complaint, GRP Bhagalpur has registered a case. A joint team consisting of RPF, GRP, and the local Habibpur police station was formed to apprehend the individuals responsible. Four minors were detained on Monday for questioning. The authorities are actively investigating the incident, and the video of the slogans has been widely circulated on social media.
