Darbhanga, Bihar is the scene of a tragic event where a husband has been accused of murdering his wife. The victim, 27-year-old Sumitra Devi, was allegedly killed by her husband, Lalbabu, who is now in police custody. The murder reportedly involved the use of scissors.
The incident happened in Baghauni village in Darbhanga district. The police arrived at the scene after receiving information about the murder, and the investigation is ongoing. Lalbabu is accused of killing his wife after suspecting her of being unfaithful.
Lal Babu and Sumitra Devi had a love marriage about four years ago and have a young daughter. Lalbabu, who worked in Delhi, returned home after learning about his wife’s actions. The wife is said to have left the house and stayed with her lover for two weeks. When she returned home, Lalbabu confronted her, and the argument escalated into a fatal attack.
SDPO Ashutosh Kumar led the police response, apprehending the suspect and beginning the formal investigation. The body of the deceased has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
