In Darbhanga, Bihar, a man has been sent to jail by court order after being accused of making derogatory remarks about the Prime Minister. The police from Simri arrested Rizvi, also known as Raja, and brought him before the Darbhanga court. The court then sent him directly to jail, with CJM Junaid Aalam assigning 14 days of judicial custody. The main suspect in the case is still at large.
The police presented the accused in Darbhanga court where the CJM sent him to jail. The CJM Junaid Aalam ordered the accused to be held in judicial custody for 14 days. Police sources indicate that the main named suspect, Md. Naushad, has left the district. The offensive remarks were made from the stage during the Voter Rights Yatra.
