In Muzaffarpur, a woman was tricked by a tantrik who promised to fix her financial woes. He claimed he could perform a ritual to ensure her money would stay with her. The woman, believing his words, took him to her house. During the ritual, the tantrik stole something from her, which she only discovered the next day, leading to her distress.
The woman then reported the incident to the police, who are now searching for the con artist. Meera, the woman involved, runs a tea shop near LNT Business Management College in Bhagwanpur and lives in IG Colony. She is originally from Garaul, Vaishali. She reported to the police that the man, claiming to be a tantrik, had been visiting her shop regularly for several days.
He would often stay for a long time after having tea. Meera mentioned that she often fell ill and felt her income did not bring prosperity. Taking advantage of this, the con artist, posing as a tantrik, offered a ritual to help her. She trusted him and brought him to her home. There, the fake tantrik asked her to bring all her jewelry.
He then wrapped the jewelry in red cloth, chanted some mantras, and returned the bundle. He told her not to open it until the next morning after watering the Tulsi plant. The following morning, after performing the task, Meera opened the bundle and found only paper. Her jewelry was missing. Meera suspects the con artist may have used chemicals to disorient her while giving her the bundle. The Station Officer of Sadar Police Station, Asmit Kumar, confirmed that the case is under investigation.
