On Tuesday morning in Patna, a horrific road accident resulted in the deaths of two individuals who were part of the Kanwar Yatra. The incident occurred near the Bairia bus stand. The deceased, identified as Neeraj Kumar and Bablu Kumar, were on their way to Gai Ghat to collect Gangajal. A speeding Hyva truck collided with their motorcycle, causing fatal injuries. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital.
Following the accident, the Patna-Masaudi main road was blocked by angry locals who demanded compensation for the families of the deceased. Police forces from multiple stations, including Gopalpur, Gauri Chak, Parsa Bazar, and Ramkrishna Nagar, were deployed to manage the situation. Police have seized the truck and are searching for the driver, who fled the scene. The administration has assured the families of the deceased of all possible assistance and compensation.
