The Odisha government has launched comprehensive relief operations in flood-affected regions of Balasore and Mayurbhanj, after continuous heavy rainfall. The Subarnarekha and Budhabalang rivers are experiencing elevated water levels. Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari noted that the situation is presently under control. The government has put in place measures to provide relief. The government has been in touch with the neighbouring state of Jharkhand and is providing compensation to the affected farmers. ODRAF, Fire Services and NDRF teams are actively engaged in rescue and assistance.
