After being released from Beur Jail, Anant Singh, a notable figure in Bihar politics, revealed his plans to run against the party of Nitish Kumar. This announcement followed his successful bail plea in the Patna High Court concerning the Pachmahla case. During a media interaction, Singh stated his belief that Nitish Kumar has achieved significant progress in the last two decades and will continue to lead for the next 25 years. He highlighted Kumar’s contributions to public infrastructure, such as roads, electricity, and water, and expressed his view that Kumar will remain the Chief Minister for the next 25 years. The former MLA, widely known as ‘Chhote Sarkar,’ received a major reprieve prior to the Bihar Assembly elections with the High Court’s decision to grant him bail in the Pachmahla firing case.
