In Bhagalpur, Bihar, a wedding has been cancelled due to threats issued by the bride’s friend. The friend, who also sent a photo with the bride, threatened the groom on social media, warning him to abandon the marriage. Consequently, the groom returned the advance payment of one lakh rupees. The incident occurred in Jichho village under the Lodipur police station area. The groom, fearing for his safety, decided to withdraw from the wedding. The bride’s mother has reported the incident, seeking legal action against the friend, a resident of Navgachia. The mother said her daughter’s friend had sent a photo with the daughter and was blackmailing the family.
