A bizarre story has unfolded in the Banka district of Bihar, where a woman has left her husband only four months after their marriage. The woman’s interest in creating Instagram reels allegedly led her to form a relationship with another man. This resulted in her abandoning her husband and fleeing with the man. The husband has filed a police complaint, pleading for his wife’s return and alleging that his in-laws were involved. The victim, Dilip Das, married the woman in May 2025, in the Rajoun area. According to the husband, his wife spent three months at her marital home after the wedding and then returned to her parents’ house. He claims his wife was active on Instagram and often posted reels. He noticed her posting videos with another man, which raised his suspicions. The husband claims the in-laws helped his wife elope with a man from Bhagalpur. He also alleges that she took 1.5 lakh rupees with her. The police are investigating the case, collecting evidence and interviewing people. The woman’s father has accused his son-in-law of making his daughter disappear. Police are looking into the matter.
