Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has confirmed the re-election of Lalu Prasad Yadav as its national president, marking his 13th term in the role. Election officer Ramchandra Purve said that Yadav’s nomination was the only one received and was deemed valid. The formal announcement and presentation of the election certificate will occur during the party’s national council meeting on July 5th. Following the re-election, the ruling NDA in Bihar criticized the RJD, asserting that Yadav’s win confirms the party is under family control. JDU’s Rajiv Ranjan Prasad accused Tejashwi Yadav of hypocrisy. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said the re-election of Lalu Prasad Yadav to the post of president 13th time means the RJD has established a dynasty, caring only for their family, neglecting other communities.
