At a ‘TV-9 Digital Meeting’ in Gaya, Bihar, Jitan Ram Manjhi, the former Chief Minister and head of the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), addressed the media and provided insights into his party’s aspirations ahead of the upcoming elections. When questioned about the current political dynamics, including the potential return of Lalu Prasad Yadav and the performance of Nitish Kumar, Manjhi offered his perspectives. He responded to the speculation surrounding Nitish Kumar’s leadership, reflecting on his long-standing tenure and contributions to the state. Manjhi cited the progress in the electricity sector as an example, crediting the current administration for the advancements.
Manjhi addressed the topic of seat sharing within the NDA, refuting any claims of dissatisfaction within his party. He highlighted the unity within the alliance, using his own experience during the Lok Sabha elections as an example. He alluded to Narendra Modi’s gesture of allocating a position within the MSME department to a member of his party. In a significant statement, Manjhi subtly indicated his desire for more seats for HAM. He stated that his party, founded in 2025, should be acknowledged accordingly, with the allocation of seats. He did not specify the exact number of seats he seeks, choosing to maintain a degree of ambiguity.
