The Durga Puja celebrations in Bihar were disrupted by a horrific act of violence. In Gopalganj district, a mother and daughter were victims of a brutal knife attack near Konhawa Mor, close to the Nagar police station. The victims were on their way to a local fair. Both women sustained severe injuries and were admitted to a hospital for treatment. Medical reports indicate that they are in critical condition.
It has been reported that the mother and daughter were on their way to a fair at Konhawa Mor, organized for the Durga Puja festival. They were harassed by some men who made inappropriate remarks. When the mother and daughter objected to their actions, the men launched a knife attack.
