
The Agricultural University, Sabour, in Bihar has been awarded an A grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). This accomplishment is a significant milestone for the university and the state, as stated by Deputy Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha. He highlighted that this achievement confirms Bihar’s strong position in higher education, research, and innovation. The success is attributed to the collective efforts of the faculty, scientists, staff, students, and farmers. NAAC’s evaluation team conducted a comprehensive assessment of all facets, including academic programs, administrative procedures, infrastructure, research initiatives, and community outreach. This accreditation signifies the university’s dedication to high-quality education, research, innovation, and national development. The university’s performance and achievements reflect a commitment to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The curriculum has been revamped to be interdisciplinary, skill-based, and innovation-focused, incorporating elements like outcome-based education, experiential learning, and industry-academia collaborations. Students benefit from interdisciplinary courses, early involvement in research, and credit transfer options, aligning with NEP’s flexible, student-centered approach. The Deputy Chief Minister commended the university’s team and encouraged them to pursue even greater achievements, aiming to elevate Bihar to a position of leadership in knowledge, science, and agricultural innovation.
