A new employment scheme, the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana, has been approved by the Bihar cabinet under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The scheme aims to enhance the economic status of women from every family in the state by providing them with opportunities for self-employment. Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena explained that the scheme is a result of extensive consultations with various women’s groups, which provided valuable input for its design. The scheme is scheduled to commence distribution of funds after September 1st.
