An Assistant Executive Engineer, Susil Kumar Panda, has been arrested by the Odisha Vigilance following an investigation into his assets. The investigation revealed that Panda’s assets were a staggering 163% higher than his declared income. During searches across multiple locations including Berhampur, Puri, Ganjam, and his office, authorities discovered a multi-storey building, flats, plots, significant cash, gold, and considerable bank and insurance deposits. Panda was subsequently arrested because he failed to provide adequate explanations or documentation for his accumulated wealth.
