A Passport Seva Mobile Van Camp is set to take place in Sheikhpura, Bihar, offering passport services to local residents. The Regional Passport Office, Patna, has been actively processing passport applications, with approximately four lakh applications handled in 2024. Furthermore, the office has implemented the issuance of chip-embedded passports, a new initiative by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, which began on May 12, 2024.
The upcoming camp will be hosted at the Information and Public Relations Office complex in Sheikhpura from September 16 to September 18. The decision to bring this service to Sheikhpura is due to the lack of a Post Office Passport Seva Kendra in the district, leading to a growing number of passport applicants.
This mobile van camp marks the eleventh such event since April 2024, following successful camps in Siwan, Gopalganj, Purnia, the Police District of Bagaha, and Lakhisarai. The Regional Passport Office, Patna, aims to continue providing these services to facilitate passport acquisition.
Interested individuals must apply online, pay the necessary fees, and book an appointment for the Passport Seva Mobile Van Camp. On the scheduled date, applicants are required to present original documents along with self-attested photocopies for verification. Personal presence is required for photo capture, fingerprinting, and document verification. For specifics on necessary documents, refer to the provided website. Please note that applications for Police Clearance Certificates (PCC) and those held due to other issues will not be processed during this camp.
