The city of Patna, Bihar’s capital, is witnessing a rise in gun violence. A string of murders and extortion cases suggests that criminals are undeterred by police presence. Despite police efforts, criminals are openly challenging the authorities. Within 24 hours, multiple serious crimes have taken place in the capital. The latest incident occurred in the Bikram police station area of the Paliganj subdivision, near Patna, where two motorcycle riders were shot dead by unknown assailants on the Manjhauli Singara road.
The two youths were killed instantly in the shooting. Local police responded to the scene after receiving information. The Patna FSL team was then informed. The identities of the deceased youths are still unknown.
On Tuesday morning, villagers on their morning walk on the Manjhauli Singara road found the bodies. They noticed a black and red Apache motorcycle nearby. The bodies of the two youths lay a short distance away, covered in blood. The news quickly spread throughout the village.
Villagers immediately contacted Dial 112. Police from Bikram police station arrived at the scene to investigate. The identities of the two deceased are still under investigation. The police recovered multiple bullet casings from the scene. Authorities suspect the victims were murdered late at night.
Bikram Station House Officer Vinod Kumar confirmed that villagers reported finding the bodies on the Manjhauli Singara road. The youths had been shot. A motorcycle was present at the scene. Police recovered 9 to 10 bullet casings.
