A woman in Patna has accused a medical student of ‘Love Jihad’, alleging deception, coercion, and physical assault. The woman claims Mohammad Seraj, a postgraduate student at NMCH, misrepresented himself as ‘Sonu,’ a Hindu, and maintained a relationship with her for three years. She alleges that he participated in her religious practices, including Chhath Puja, to gain her trust. According to the complaint, Seraj engaged in physical relations with her under the pretense of marriage. Upon discovering his true identity and religious background, she alleges she faced pressure to convert, physical violence, and was forced to eat beef. The woman further states that Seraj married another woman and his family abused her when she confronted them.
