At a public meeting in Nawada as part of his voter rights campaign, Rahul Gandhi accused the BJP and the Election Commission of engaging in election theft. He stated that the people’s votes are their fundamental right, and they shouldn’t let them be stolen. Gandhi warned that losing one’s vote could lead to the loss of essential resources. He specifically cited instances of alleged election manipulation in several states including Maharashtra, where a gap in the voter count between the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections was observed. When questioned, the Election Commission failed to provide clear answers or relevant documents, which fueled the allegations. Gandhi added that in Karnataka, a large number of fake voters were found in one constituency, allegedly influencing the election outcome. He then said the public would seek affidavits from the Election Commission. He emphasized that his party is committed to preventing vote theft in Bihar. He also predicted that the truth about election practices in Bihar would come to light. Gandhi pointed out issues such as unemployment, electricity bills, and inflation and highlighted that a significant number of voters have been removed in Bihar.
