In preparation for the festive season, Indian Railways has unveiled significant plans for Bihar, focusing on passenger convenience. The railway network will run 12,000 special trains to cater to the increased demand during Diwali and Chhath Puja. As an added benefit, passengers will receive a 20% discount on their return tickets. The discount will be valid for return journeys between November 17th and December 1st, provided the outward journey took place between October 13th and 26th.
The new train services include the Amrit Bharat Express and the Buddha Circuit trains. The Amrit Bharat Express trains will connect destinations like Gaya, Saharsa, and Muzaffarpur with major cities. The Buddha Circuit trains will connect multiple stations including Vaishali, Hajipur, and Patna. Moreover, a Vande Bharat train is planned to operate on the Purna to Patna route. This initiative will provide essential support to the large migrant workforce and other travelers during the holidays.
