The city of Rajgir in Bihar is preparing to host the Under-20 Asian Rugby Sevens Championship 2025 on August 9th and 10th. This will be the first time the state hosts this event, which will see the participation of teams from 12 Asian countries.
The tournament will feature 8 men’s and 8 women’s teams, representing countries such as India, Hong Kong, China, the UAE, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka, Malaysia (men’s team), and Nepal (women’s team). The event is generating excitement among the public.
Rahul Bose, a well-known former rugby player and actor, has expressed his happiness regarding the championship. He praised the Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, for his efforts in developing sports infrastructure and promoting sports awareness within the state.
