
A devastating event in Paliganj, near Patna, resulted in the deaths of three siblings who were visiting their maternal grandparents for Raksha Bandhan. The children, who arrived with their mother, consumed milk and subsequently fell ill. The incident occurred in Khirimor, Khiri Par village. After their condition worsened, the children were initially taken to a private hospital in Paliganj.
Doctors, recognizing the severity of their conditions, referred the children to Arwal Sadar Hospital for treatment. Two of the siblings died during treatment at the hospital. The third child later died on Tuesday evening in Patna while receiving medical care. The deceased were siblings.
Kamlesh Thakur, the children’s maternal grandfather, resides in Khiripar village. The entire family had gathered at his home to celebrate Raksha Bandhan. On Monday night, the children were given milk after dinner, after which their health rapidly deteriorated. The family rushed the children to a private hospital nearby.
The children were then referred to Arwal Sadar Hospital. While receiving treatment, two children passed away. The third child, Nidhi Kumari, who was in a critical state, was referred to PMCH, where she eventually died on Tuesday. Kamlesh Thakur, the children’s maternal grandfather, said the children got sick suddenly after consuming the milk. In the hospital, 5-year-old Vikas Kumar and 3-year-old Mohit Kumar died.
The milk in question originated from the residence of Rambabu Mahto, a resident of Khiri Par village in Paliganj. The Food Safety Department is expected to investigate the incident.
The three children who passed away were the children of Mohan Thakur. He is employed in Surat. The family was preparing for Ritesh Thakur’s wedding. Instead of celebrations, mourning has filled the house.
