
The Kotia Rath Yatra was celebrated with the involvement of Odisha ministers and Congress leaders, attracting hundreds of devotees to the village in Koraput district. The annual festival, a day after the statewide event, saw the participation of key figures. The Jagannath temple, established in 2002, is integral to spreading Jagannath culture among the tribal population. Ministers such as Suresh Pujari, Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Nityananda Gond, Bibhuti Bhushan Jena, and Gokulananda Mallik were present, along with Congress leaders Rama Chandra Kadam and Tara Prasad Bahinipati. They joined the locals in the festivities, highlighting the government’s dedication to the area’s development and welfare schemes, as stated by the Deputy CM. Minister Pujari also underscored the government’s support for the Kotia region in the face of border disputes.
