The weather department anticipates a decrease in temperature only when humidity decreases.
On Sunday, the maximum temperature in Delhi reached 35.3 degrees Celsius, which was 0.9 degrees above normal, while the minimum temperature was 24.3 degrees Celsius, 0.6 degrees below normal. The humidity levels varied between 89% and 51%. Some areas experienced cloud cover today, but the sky cleared up quickly without any rainfall.
The weather department predicts rising temperatures in Delhi. The department stated that clear skies and strong sunshine are expected in Delhi on Monday. The maximum and minimum temperatures could slightly increase, potentially reaching 35 and 25 degrees Celsius respectively. Moreover, pollution levels are rising in Delhi during the monsoon season. The Central Pollution Control Board recorded Delhi’s AQI at 127 on Sunday, which is considered moderate.
Weather forecasts have been issued for Uttar Pradesh. According to the IMD, scattered rainfall is expected in the state. Clear skies in western UP will bring intense sunshine. This may cause humid heat. Light to moderate rainfall is possible in eastern UP.
Bihar is anticipated to get relief from rain. Flood-like conditions continue in the low-lying areas of Bihar. Many districts are affected by floods. Rivers are overflowing due to the influx of water from Nepal. However, the water levels in the rivers may decrease soon, offering relief from the floods. The weather department has predicted light to moderate rainfall in different districts of the state.
The intensity of rainfall has decreased in the hilly states. The IMD has issued rain predictions for various districts of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Light rain with thunder might occur in the mountainous areas, but residents in most districts can expect relief from heavy rainfall for the next few days. Lightning is possible in several districts including Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Nainital, and Champawat.
Rajasthan has found relief from heavy rain. People may face humid heat in the coming days. The sky is expected to remain clear in most districts of the state on Monday. The weather department has not issued any alert regarding the likelihood of heavy rain in the state.
