
The Bihar government has given the green light to a large-scale development project for Punora Dham in Sitamarhi, the birthplace of Goddess Sita. The project, inspired by the Ayodhya Ram Temple, will see the construction of a magnificent temple and other associated structures, with an estimated cost of around ₹883 crore. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced the approval, emphasizing the government’s dedication to the project. The plan encompasses the overall development of Punora Dham, aiming to boost its prominence as a place of pilgrimage. The project is expected to be initiated quickly, with the government aiming for a swift completion. This strategic move underscores the administration’s focus on religious and infrastructural development. The Bihar government has also decided to print ballot papers for the 2025 elections from Saraswati Press Limited, Kolkata.
