A shocking case of familial deceit has emerged from Bath village in Bhagalpur, Bihar, where a man, Ramesh Mishra, is battling to prove his existence after his son and daughter-in-law declared him dead for a land grab. Upon returning to his ancestral home after retirement from the Jharkhand Transport Department, Mishra discovered that his son, Kundan Mishra, and daughter-in-law, Rupam Mishra, had illicitly sold his land, creating fake documents to do so. The truth came to light when villagers began teasing Mishra, calling him a ghost. Upon investigation, he learned that the land had been sold, and despite his attempts to seek help from the authorities, including the local police station and higher-ranking officials, his pleas were ignored. Seeking justice, Mishra has filed a case with the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court, presenting an affidavit to prove he is alive. The court has demanded a detailed investigation report from the Bath police station. The incident underscores a disturbing display of greed and deception within a family, leaving the community in shock.
