
On the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami, Tej Pratap Yadav, the national president of the Jan Shakti Janata Dal and the elder son of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, made a noteworthy statement. He spoke about his younger brother, Tejashwi Yadav, urging him to understand the dynamics of roles and responsibilities, specifically referencing the characters of Ram and Lakshman. He advised Tejashwi to maintain decorum and respect his elder brother. Tej Pratap Yadav made these remarks during a media interaction in Patna.
In the course of the press conference, Tej Pratap Yadav addressed several issues, speaking openly about them. He mentioned that Tejashwi is making decisions based on his own understanding. He also suggested that Tejashwi might be influenced by certain people. He emphasized the importance of considering the roles of Ram and Lakshman and respecting the elder brother.
This came in response to a question about Tejashwi’s claim that Tej Pratap had, in the past, put up candidates against the party, particularly during the Lok Sabha elections. Tej Pratap offered his perspective on the matter.
Furthermore, he criticized the RSS, stating that they had no role in India’s independence. He alluded to the events involving Mahatma Gandhi and highlighted his own commitment to Gandhian principles, alongside respecting leaders like Lal Bahadur Shastri and Mahatma Gandhi. When questioned about contesting elections, he indicated that he would share his plans after Dussehra. Concerning Rahul Gandhi’s foreign visits, Tej Pratap speculated that it might be to seek well-being.
Tej Pratap Yadav also addressed the ‘I Love Mohammad’ controversy. He asserted that all religions should be respected. He shared that he also possesses a copy of the Quran and that he honors all faiths. He believes in Ram and Muhammad, promoting inclusivity and respect. He expressed his admiration for Prophet Muhammad, questioning the current societal direction and governance. He highlighted the arrest of individuals expressing ‘I Love Mohammad’ and the state of the current mindset. He concluded by saying he would continue to move forward and stay connected with the public, irrespective of any opposition.
