Tejashwi Yadav, a prominent leader of the RJD, has made a strong claim before the Bihar assembly elections, declaring himself as the chief ministerial candidate and stating that the India alliance has endorsed this decision. He has also pledged to create a new Bihar, comparing its future to Scotland. He criticized BJP leaders, alleging their focus on divisive agendas, and reiterated that his government will not permit politics based on caste or religion.
He commented on Sudhanshu Trivedi’s position, and also spoke about his brother, Tej Pratap Yadav. His statements follow those of Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar.
Kanhaiya Kumar had previously stated that if the Grand Alliance secures a majority in the assembly elections, the Chief Minister will be from the RJD. He added that the RJD is the biggest party in the alliance, and hence, the Chief Minister would be from their party.
The political landscape in Bihar is highly charged, with the ruling and opposition parties in constant debates. Before officially announcing his CM face, Tejashwi Yadav predicted that the NDA would be ousted and that the Grand Alliance would form the government. He also stated that upon forming the government, the Waqf Act would be removed.
He reiterated that RJD, with the guidance of Lalu Prasad Yadav, will oppose the act and has also challenged it in court. He urged the Muslim community to remember that the NDA government is likely to be removed, and a new government, supportive of the underprivileged, would be formed in November, and the Waqf Act will be abolished.
Tejashwi emphasized that the BJP should recognize that the nation’s independence was achieved through the sacrifices of various communities and that no one should treat the country as a personal possession. He also criticized the BJP concerning the revision of electoral rolls, vowing to prevent any attempts to deny people their right to vote.
