In a frightening incident, Tejashwi Yadav, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and an RJD leader, narrowly escaped a car accident on Saturday. While returning to Patna from a political rally in Madhepura, a truck collided with vehicles in his convoy near Goraul in Vaishali district. The accident happened around 12:30 AM on the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway when the convoy made a brief stop for a tea break. Yadav, who was a short distance away, was unharmed. However, the impact of the crash resulted in injuries to three security officials who were promptly taken to a local hospital. Yadav subsequently visited the injured officials to check on their health. The truck driver was arrested by the local police, and the vehicle was taken into custody. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident, including potential factors like speeding or driver fatigue. The event has raised concerns regarding the safety of political leaders traveling long distances in Bihar, especially during nighttime hours. Calls for a comprehensive review of VIP security arrangements and stricter enforcement of road safety regulations have been made by party officials.
