The political scene in Bihar is seeing a renewed focus on the Chief Ministerial candidate. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has firmly stated that the Mahagathbandhan will not participate in the elections without a designated Chief Ministerial candidate. He made an indirect remark comparing their approach to that of the BJP. This declaration was made during his ‘Adhikar Yatra,’ which covered areas not included in his previous opposition yatra.
Tejashwi Yadav has previously supported the idea of Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Ministerial candidate for the opposition coalition. However, Rahul Gandhi has not yet declared Tejashwi as the Chief Ministerial candidate for the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar. Tejashwi responded by saying that the public would ultimately decide. He asserted that being the Chief Minister or forming a government is not the primary goal, the priority is to develop Bihar. He also mentioned that the Chief Ministerial candidate will be finalized after the seat allocation is decided.
