
A devastating accident in Saran, Bihar, resulted in the deaths of five people when a pickup van overturned after a tire blowout. The vehicle was transporting a load of corn when the tragic event unfolded. The victims, all from the same village, lost their lives at the scene.
Reports indicate the accident occurred near the Bajitpur Four-Lane road in the Nayagaon police station area of Saran district. The pickup truck, laden with corn from Dighwara, was traveling towards Hajipur when one of its tires burst. This caused the driver to lose control, resulting in the vehicle overturning.
Approximately 25 individuals were believed to be traveling in the vehicle.
The accident resulted in the deaths of five people, including one woman. Many others were injured. Immediate chaos erupted at the scene, with locals rushing to assist. The deceased, all from the same village, were identified. Rescue efforts were swift, and all victims were recovered.
Medical care was provided to the injured.
The deceased have been identified: Anju Devi (48, wife of Raj Kumar Pandit), Radhika Devi (50, wife of Raju Baitha), Sonu Kumar (23, son of Shrawan Ram), Rajlaxmi Kumari (15, daughter of Panchu Ram), and Shivam Kumar (7, son of Rambabu Ram). The local police arrived at the scene and arranged for the injured to be taken to Sadar Hospital in Hajipur. Two of the injured were later transferred to PMCH for specialized medical attention. Police are continuing their investigation.
