A severe train accident in the Purnia district of Bihar claimed the lives of three youths, with two others severely injured. The incident involved the Vande Bharat Express train. The group was walking along the railway tracks after attending a fair when they were hit by the train. The injured were rushed to Purnia’s Government Medical College Hospital (GMCH) for medical attention. The deceased and injured were from Chandpur Bhangaha, near the Janakinagar Nagar Panchayat. They were walking along the tracks at around 4 am, when the express train, coming from Jogbani, struck them. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination, and an investigation into the accident has begun.
