On Saturday morning, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav escaped injury when a truck collided with his convoy in Vaishali district. The incident occurred near Goraul while he was returning to Patna after a political rally in Madhepura. The convoy had stopped for a brief break along the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway at around 12:30 AM. While Tejashwi Yadav was taking a tea break a few meters away, a truck struck the stationary vehicles of his security detail. Fortunately, his personal vehicle was not involved, and he was safe. Three security officials were injured in the accident and immediately taken to a nearby hospital. Tejashwi Yadav subsequently visited the injured officials, concerned about their condition. The injured officials are now stable, although they sustained bruises and some fractures. The truck driver was arrested by local police at the scene, and the truck was taken into custody. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, possibly related to speeding or driver fatigue. The incident has led to renewed discussions about the safety of political figures traveling on Bihar roads, especially late at night. RJD activists took to social media to express their relief and call for better road safety and traffic rule enforcement. Party officials have requested a thorough investigation of VIP security protocols during road travel, particularly in areas with limited visibility. Tejashwi Yadav, known for his active political career and extensive travel within Bihar, has resumed his usual activities and assured his followers that he is unharmed.
