Tejashwi Yadav, a prominent RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, was involved in a near-miss accident on Saturday. A truck struck his convoy near Goraul in Vaishali district while he was en route back to Patna. The vehicles were stopped for a break on the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway when the truck collided with them. Three of Yadav’s security officials were injured and required immediate medical attention. The truck driver was arrested at the scene, and the authorities are investigating the cause of the crash, with initial reports suggesting potential speeding or driver fatigue. The incident has reignited the debate surrounding the safety of political figures traveling in Bihar and the need for improved road safety infrastructure. Yadav, after checking on the injured officials, has resumed his activities, indicating he is unharmed.
