The Tutla Bhawani Temple, a prominent religious and natural attraction in the Rohtas district of Bihar, is set for a complete transformation, equipped with modern amenities. The Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Department is overseeing the project with an investment of roughly 12 crore rupees. The foundation stone for the revamp was laid on Sunday by Forest Minister Dr. Sunil Kumar.
The temple is not only important religiously but also captivating due to its natural surroundings. It sees a large number of devotees and tourists, yet the absence of basic facilities like well-maintained roads has caused inconvenience.
The renovation will include:
* Upgrading the pathways leading to the temple to ease the journey for devotees.
* Installing CCTV cameras to ensure security and surveillance, complemented by facilities like changing rooms and restrooms.
* Constructing a 100-meter-long walkway bridge to enhance visitor convenience and facilitate access to the temple.
* Creating a grand main entrance and a modern gateway to welcome visitors.
* Implementing a solar power system to promote environmental conservation and energy saving.
* Building shops to encourage local employment, giving visitors easy access to essential items. This will also create income opportunities and strengthen the regional economy.
The main goal of the project is to establish Tutla Bhawani as a leading religious and natural tourist destination. The department is confident that there will be a significant increase in visitor numbers upon completion.
The temple, located in the Kaimur hills of the Rohtas district, is renowned for its scenic beauty and waterfalls. Also known as Tutileshwari Bhawani Temple or Tutrahi Dham, the temple houses a 12th-century idol constructed by the Kharwar kings.
Devotees visiting Tutla Bhawani Temple offer prayers to the goddess Bhawani and enjoy the nearby waterfalls. The temple attracts a large crowd during Navratri.
