Bihar’s political scene is buzzing as the state prepares for the upcoming assembly elections. All political parties are in election mode. Upendra Kushwaha, the leader of the Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM), has made a significant statement. He clearly stated that his party is aligned with the NDA and will contest the elections together.
Kushwaha, during an interview, discussed the RLM’s alliance with the NDA. Addressing seat sharing, he said that media discussions on the matter would be counterproductive. He added that they would focus on their own strategy, keeping their plans private.
Kushwaha described the JDU as his ‘old home,’ expressing concern for the party. He clarified that a successor cannot be chosen overnight. He praised CM Nitish Kumar, highlighting his experience and its benefits for Bihar. Regarding the potential political entry of the CM’s son, Nishant, he stated that Nitish Kumar would make the decision.
Responding to Tejashwi Yadav’s dance, the RLM leader criticized the RJD, calling it a party that does nothing but talk nonsense. While acknowledging that dancing isn’t inherently wrong, he found Yadav’s dance inappropriate and unbecoming. He advised Yadav to be mindful of his public image. Kushwaha also highlighted the Nitish government’s job creation efforts and challenged the opposition to address any issues through action rather than dancing. This reaction was prompted by Tejashwi’s recent dance with youths at Patna’s Marine Drive.
Concerning the opposition’s allegations of vote theft, Kushwaha dismissed it as a non-issue. He stated that the opposition hasn’t gained anything from this. He challenged them to present the targeted individuals if they had evidence.
Regarding Prashant Kishor, the founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, Kushwaha stated that Kishor is not relevant in the current political landscape, with the main competition being between the NDA and the alliance.
