A stone-pelting incident on the Gorakhpur-Patliputra Vande Bharat Express has been caught on CCTV, revealing images of the perpetrators. The RPF is working to apprehend the individuals responsible for the damage. A window in one of the train’s coaches was shattered in the attack. This is one of several incidents of stone-pelting on Vande Bharat trains across different routes.
The attack took place on Monday morning near the outer signal at Motipur station. Unidentified individuals threw stones at the train, damaging the window in coach C-5, specifically affecting seats numbered 70 to 75. Passengers immediately notified the TC and RPF about the incident.
CCTV footage, examined by RPF Inspector Bharat Prasad, shows two individuals throwing stones at the train. A school is visible near the scene, with a damaged boundary wall, suggesting the bricks used in the attack were taken from there. The RPF Inspector has assured that the attackers will be caught quickly.
In response, security measures on the Vande Bharat train have been increased. Security is managed by the RPF teams from Patliputra, Muzaffarpur, and Gorakhpur, ensuring passenger safety.
